Lately, I’ve been super intrigued by a bunch of different metaphysical things (the study of that which is beyond physical), astrology being one of them. If you aren’t familiar, astrology is the study of patterns and relationships, meaning that planets in motion influence certain moments in time, making our moment of birth meaningful. A person’s birth chart, which consists of your planet, sign and house, is unique to each individual.
When people think of astrology, they automatically associate it with zodiac signs.
What has intrigued me most with astrology is how freakishly accurate it all is. People who study astrology think of it as an incredible tool for self-discovery and self-understanding. I’ll let you in on what my zodiac sign says about me and how I find it to be undeniably accurate.
I was born May 30th so that makes me a Gemini, most famously known as the twins. “The twins represent the two different sides Geminis show to the world.” Think Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde or how I like to think of myself – sassy and sweet. “Geminis sometimes get a bad rep for being two-faced, but a Gemini is loyal for life and is usually one of your most humorous friends.” Need proof – just check out this post. This is also probably why I have like 4 really good friends. I’m not sure if that’s because I’m two-faced or uber loyal – but I hope it’s because of my loyalty.
“Because Geminis are ruled by the house of Mercury, they are considered expert communicators, sociable, charming, enjoy expressing their opinions and are practically open books at all times. Because of this, sometimes Geminis tend to be gossipy and think they know what they are talking about at all times.” You won’t meet a more open (and blunt) book than me. During my school-aged years, I always had to get moved because I was too distracting to my neighbor. To this day, my dad tells me how much I’ve talked my whole life and that I never shut up.
“Geminis enjoy change and variety and loathe anything that has to do with predictability. Geminis are enthusiastic about starting projects, but get easily distracted and have a hard time finishing them all.” Preech! I dread the days at work when I have certain tasks that require my undivided attention for an hour or two. My mind is constantly hopping around from one thought to the next. This is especially true when it comes to cleaning – I’m never able to focus on one area or room at a time.
“Geminis are emotionally intelligent and being an air sign they are intellectual and spiritual people. They look at the world with optimism and as if the glass is half-full. Geminis have an unstoppable force of energy that can motivate, inspire, and enchant the rest of the Zodiac. Because of these things, Geminis tend to be leaders and really good judges of character.” I mean.. sure I’ll take it. I’ve always thought I had a pretty good handle on judging a person’s character from the first time or two of meeting them.

Needless to say, this sounds undeniably and almost creepily, exactly like my personality. Do you believe in the stars and planets and moons and theirinfluencee on certain moments in time?
